Best and worst neighborhoods in Montgomeryville

Been meaning to ask this. I've been here for 18 years and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $130,769 in Montgomeryville. Median household income is $130,769, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $452,400 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. TIA! The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Lakewood area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Downtown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- The safety scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in East for 14 years. Moved from New York for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. East schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Bugs and humidity in summer. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 9/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much competitive but now it's excellent.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 14 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I work in real estate here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is tough. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 9 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
