Unpopular opinion about Montgomeryville

Random thought, Been living here since 2015. Rent is about $1,943/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $452,400 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks for reading. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up.

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great Mediterranean places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from New York about 7 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Portland about 12 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is decent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much established but now it's hit or miss.

Bought a house here in 2023 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Sunset area are tough. Kids love it here.

I work in finance here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is better than expected. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
