Grocery stores in Montrose-Ghent -recommendations?
OK so Military spouse here. With a population of 5,946, Montrose-Ghent is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 5,946 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Is this normal for Montrose-Ghent? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Oak Park. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Thai.
