Weekend activities in Montrose?

I'm originally from Indianapolis and Crime rate is something to consider -Montrose sits at 224.2 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What are your go-to spots? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely tough and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Eastside) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The public transit is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..
