Commute times in Moore -how bad?

Curious what people think. I grew up here but left for a while. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in tech here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is tough. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
