Hey, The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Moore sits at 174.6 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,276 for rent here. Household incomes average around $76,941 in Moore. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Portland it's underrated.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Chicago about 10 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
