First time home buyer in Moorefield

So, My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Moorefield sits at 194.2 per 100K. The median home value here is around $802,700, which is pretty steep. It's a a small town city with about 5,598 people. Household incomes average around $200,754 in Moorefield. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Old Town) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
