Honest thoughts on life in Moorestown-Lenola

So, Rent is about $1,487/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I'm a accountant and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 2 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a lawyer, 34, moved here 6 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in Greenfield and Cedar Grove, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Good schools in most areas
3. Decent public transit for the size
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not very walkable outside downtown
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The weather situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Greenfield: Great for singles. solid vibes, walkable.
- Cedar Grove: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt challenging. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $90K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The dating scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is challenging in most areas.
