Hey folks, Household incomes average around $70,228 in Mooresville. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What do you all think? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Moved here from Tampa about 15 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to public transit but No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Eastside for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The public transit scene is solid
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
