Career opportunities in Mooresville, NC

First post here. I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $348,500 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great sushi places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely tough and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (West) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.
