How much do you pay for rent in Mooresville?

So, You can expect to pay around $1,505 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Bought a house here in 2018 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is challenging in most areas.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a accountant, 56, moved here 6 years ago from Austin. I've lived in Springfield and Pine Hills, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The food scene situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for families. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Pine Hills: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Austin, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $70K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Midtown area are challenging. Kids love it here.
