Just moved here 4 months ago and With a population of 44,706, Moorhead is a smaller city. Anyone in a similar situation?

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The housing market is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Sunset for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- The school system scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights
- The walkability scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2016 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely solid and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (East) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 11 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
