Longtime lurker here, I'm a 39-year-old HR manager and Rent is about $1,358/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Moose Wilson Road sits at 477.2 per 100K. Homes are going for about $1,631,500 on average. It's a a small town city with about 1,380 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Anyone in a similar situation? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
