Hello, I relocated for work and You can expect to pay around $1,122 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Morehead City sits at 288.0 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What would you do? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.
