Quick question about Moreno Valley

Hey, Just moved here 14 months ago and Rent is about $2,036/month for a decent place. With a population of 210K, Moreno Valley is a mid-size city. You can expect to pay around $2,036 for rent here. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a accountant, 45, moved here 15 years ago from Seattle. I've lived in Uptown and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Growing food and restaurant scene
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The pet-friendliness situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Uptown: Great for families. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Seattle, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $90K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much competitive but now it's hit or miss.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Houston it's tough.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 13 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
