Hey, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 24.3%, which is higher than I expected. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $909/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
