Best and worst neighborhoods in Morgantown

Hey, It's a a smaller city city with about 30,273 people. Rent is about $888/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Moved here from Austin about 1 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to cost of living but Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely solid and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
