Morgantown job market vs Seattle

Alright, Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. It's a a smaller city city with about 30,273 people. Household incomes average around $42,245 in Morgantown. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any help is appreciated. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Portland about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Hope this helps!.
