Remote worker thinking about Morgantown

Hey everyone, Been living here since 2008. Crime rate is something to consider -Morgantown sits at 214.2 per 100K. Poverty rate is 17.0%, which is higher than I expected. You can expect to pay around $888 for rent here. Rent is about $888/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in North for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- The safety scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..
