The median home value here is around $150,900, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 7,022 people. Poverty rate is 24.3%, which is higher than I expected. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
