Best and worst neighborhoods in Morrison

Curious what people think. Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $117,300, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $117,300 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,104 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Anyone in a similar situation? The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Sunset area are improving. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 11 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Midtown for 1 years. Moved from Seattle for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Midtown schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Chain restaurants dominate. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The housing market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
