Hey folks, Median household income is $115,409, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $552,800 on average. Poverty rate is 8.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $115,409 in Morristown. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Is this normal for Morristown? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Bought a house here in 2017 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Portland about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..
