Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a small town city with about 20,256 people. With a population of 20,256, Morristown is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Morristown sits at 214.1 per 100K. Poverty rate is 8.1%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Anyone in a similar situation? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (East) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much established but now it's hit or miss.

I work in finance here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is decent. Happy to answer more specific questions..
