How much do you pay for rent in Morristown?

My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $155,700, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 30,983, Morristown is a smaller city. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Raleigh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is challenging.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in West area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.
