Hey everyone, I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $221,900, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $1,401 for rent here. Median household income is $61,215, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $221,900 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Low crime in most areas
- Good schools
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Limited nightlife
- Poor road conditions
- Limited cultural events
Is this normal for Morrow? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Maple Ridge for 1 years. Moved from Chicago for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is average - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Maple Ridge schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Homeless population growing downtown. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 5/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 2 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in tech. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like sushi.

No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Came here for weather and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The nightlife is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
