Best kept secrets of Moscow, ID

Hello, You can expect to pay around $902 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The outdoor recreation is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for school and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community vibe is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is underrated in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Midtown. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Thai.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
