Brooklyn Ward moving

Just moved to Moscow, any tips?

Hello, I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $902 for rent here. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Anyone in a similar situation? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 13 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 9 years ago. The main reasons were weather and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is underrated.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 2 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is decent and there's always something going on.
