Is Moses Lake a good place to live?
Anyone else feel this way? I'm originally from Kansas City and The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,203/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,203 for rent here. Poverty rate is 12.4%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up.

- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited dining options
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Far from major airports
It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development.
