What's it really like living in Mount Airy?

So, Been living here since 2006. With a population of 10,631, Mount Airy is a small town. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The healthcare is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in North area are decent. Kids love it here.
