Rent vs buy in Mount Carmel -what makes sense?
Random thought, I'm a college student here and Rent is about $796/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $796 for rent here. Poverty rate is 11.9%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
