Used to live on the West side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Phoenix it's decent.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much reasonable but now it's surprisingly good.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
