Alright, I'm originally from Los Angeles and Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I'm a accountant and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Old Town. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Hope this helps!.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Midtown area are decent. Kids love it here.
