Life in Mount Ivy as a young professional

Longtime lurker here, I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 7.6%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I work in hospitality here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is average. Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.
