Day-to-day life in Mount Juliet, TN

It's a a smaller city city with about 40,828 people. With a population of 40,828, Mount Juliet is a smaller city. Median household income is $107,847, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Mount Juliet sits at 157.9 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Should I be concerned? Any help is appreciated. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Thai places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Atlanta about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is underrated.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 1 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into running, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
