Most overrated things about Mount Juliet

I'm a 36-year-old contractor and Homes are going for about $423,000 on average. Rent is about $1,875/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely improving and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Springfield) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in retail. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Minneapolis it's decent.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

Came here for work and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The public transit is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
