Weekend activities in Mount Juliet?

Random thought, I relocated for work and It's a a smaller city city with about 40,828 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Mount Juliet sits at 157.9 per 100K. Homes are going for about $423,000 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 14 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The weather is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
