Considering Mount Pleasant vs Minneapolis -help me decide

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. With a population of 92,662, Mount Pleasant is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $667,100 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to.

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great sushi places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is tough in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
