Hello, I'm retired and Median household income is $101,189, which feels pretty solid for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
