Moving to Mountain Park with kids -good idea?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from New York about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
