Hey everyone, Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $96,250 in Moville. It's a a small town city with about 1,840 people. With a population of 1,840, Moville is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much reasonable but now it's tough.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Seattle about 14 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Highland for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
- The nightlife scene is decent
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 8 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
