Is it worth buying in Muncie?

Poverty rate is 17.5%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $43,395 in Muncie. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Fairview for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The housing market scene is solid

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..

I work in government here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. Feel free to reach out with questions..
