First post here. Median household income is $105,764, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs? Any help is appreciated.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in tech. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
