Rent in Munster getting crazy

Been meaning to ask this. I relocated for work and Median household income is $105,764, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Chicago about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is improving.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..
