Is public transit usable in Murrells Inlet?

Curious what people think. My family moved here when I was a kid. Household incomes average around $75,438 in Murrells Inlet. It's a a small town city with about 10,087 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thoughts? The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in government. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

No regrets on my end..
