How are the schools in Murrieta?

I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Murrieta sits at 66.1 per 100K. Rent is about $2,330/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely excellent and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Highland) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Seattle it's improving.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely underrated and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Eastside) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 2 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Old Town area are solid. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Raleigh about 9 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The dating scene is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
