Just moved to Murrieta, any tips?

Hello, The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 15 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is average.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in real estate here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is improving. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Sunset. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in education. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
