Been meaning to ask this. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $2,330/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Murrieta sits at 66.1 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What are your go-to spots? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (The Heights) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
