OK so Been living here since 2023. Household incomes average around $120,685 in Murrysville. Poverty rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Murrysville sits at 142.9 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I wrong here? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in legal. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 2 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I work in marketing here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is challenging. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the East side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.
