You can expect to pay around $979 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Westside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- The outdoor recreation scene is decent
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for retirement and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The pet-friendliness is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
