Hey folks, I'm a 40-year-old nurse and With a population of 37,203, Muskegon is a smaller city. Rent is about $927/month for a decent place. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What are your go-to spots? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is decent in most areas.

I've lived in Riverside for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Diverse dining options
- The outdoor recreation scene is surprisingly good
